Interior Designer @ From September 2015 to Present (4 months) Interior Designer @ Primarily on the Las Iguanas account, I worked in a small team towards tight deadlines to produce tender & construction drawing packs. Working on the account also involved regular site and client meetings, to ensure projects were delivered on time and on budget. I also worked within a team on independents, putting together concept presentations for new restaurant identities. From October 2014 to August 2015 (11 months) Interior Designer @ As a member of a dynamic and growing design studio, my role was varied and challenging, and involved: bespoke furniture design, bespoke kitchen and bathroom design, interior design and decoration (including sourcing FF&E, and making mood and sample boards), architectural detailing, producing lighting plans, and regularly meeting with clients and contractors. Day-to-day I used Vectorworks, Rhino, Sketchup, Photoshop and InDesign.
Using my experience in social media advertising, I also managed Play's marketing and online presence, which involved: writing and publishing content for their blog, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google +, as well as working alongside a web developer to populate the website, www.play-associates.com. From July 2013 to September 2014 (1 year 3 months) Architectural Interior Design Student @ Through a series of fast-paced projects, I developed the skills and disciplines required for a career in the design industry. As well as broadening my knowledge of design and architecture, the course helped me to develop skills in: Vectorworks, Sketchup and Photoshop; technical hand drawings and rendering; and 3D model making. From September 2012 to July 2013 (11 months) Intern @ Working at B3 Designers gave me an excellent insight into hospitality interior design. During my work placement, I was involved in various ongoing projects for Zizzi's and Las Iguanas. My responsibilities ranged from writing blog posts and editing InDesign presentations for client review; to working directly with the design team, sourcing materials, putting together sample boards, and editing Vectorworks drawings. From April 2013 to April 2013 (1 month) Account Executive and Community Manager @ I was responsible for coordinating Microsoft and Capital One's social media campaigns from brief to completion. This involved: liaising daily with clients at Microsoft and Capital One, as well as with their other creative and PR agencies; coordinating the account and design teams; and ensuring that all projects were delivered on time, within budget and in line with the client’s brief. From August 2011 to June 2012 (11 months) London, United KingdomEditor @ Having been Art Editor of the magazine in 2009-2010, I was elected as Editor the following year. Responsibilities included: overseeing the design of the magazine; managing a team of ten sub-editors; conducting weekly team meetings; commissioning and editing magazine content; promoting the publication online and around campus; organising and promoting launch parties for the release of each issue; and budget management. From July 2009 to June 2011 (2 years) Bristol, United KingdomIntern @ Having been a Student Ambassador for Vice Magazine, I then organised a month’s internship in their Belgian branch. Working closely with the Online Editor, I was charged with organising and conducting interviews with artists and musicians, as well as delivering daily online journalistic content in both English and French, all of which was published on the website (www.viceland.be). I took my own photographs to accompany all articles that I wrote.
