As head of development my main responsibilities include engineering tech and process strategy, team building and management and systems architecture as well as a variety advisory, reporting, consultancy and cross-functional responsibilities. I view all dev department activity as directly contributing to a hierarchy of objectives the endpoint of which is the commercial strategy. I'm a firm believer in the importance of diligent selection of staff, tech and method. My background is development and system architecture from ground up. Formal education is centered around analytical philosophy (KCL, degree, first class) including logic, maths and AI modules as well an independently pursued education in statistics. My experience spans sectors and org sizes and I've had considerable involvement in start-ups and acquisitions. Directly relevant experience include due diligence, audit, pitching, green field and early stage projects and the integration of legacy systems. In my private life I have a keen interest in financial markets with several international investments. I operate an evolving value based market making strategy on a major betting exchange. I'm married, very much a family man and live in London.
