From July 2015 to Present (6 months) Director of Programs @ Junior Achievement seeks to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our volunteer-delivered K-12 programs foster work-readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy skills. The age-appropriate curricula is designed to teach elementary students about their roles as individuals, workers, and consumers and to prepare middle grade and high school students for key economic and workforce issues they will face. Trained volunteers from the community teach all Junior Achievement in-classroom programs at no charge to the public schools.
As Director of Programs, I was responsible for supervising the implementation and expansion of Junior Achievement's K-12 programs. I direct all recruiting, training, and program management. From January 2014 to June 2015 (1 year 6 months) Program Manager @ As Program manager, I was responsible for recruiting, training, supporting, and retaining our volunteers. I worked with schools in the Middle Tennessee area to ensure we reached as many students as possible with our programs. From December 2011 to January 2014 (2 years 2 months) Greater Nashville AreaAgency Relations Manager @ Second Harvest Food Bank's mission is to feed hungry people and work to solve hunger issues in our community. They have a 46 county service area. I worked with the southwest region of the service area by conducting outreach activities to identify and develop feeding programs to partner with SHFB. From October 2010 to December 2011 (1 year 3 months) Greater Nashville AreaHuman Resources Hiring Coordinator @ Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is one of Loews Hotels 21 properties. It is the only AAA Four-Diamond hotel in Tennessee for over 28 consecutive years. As Hiring Coordinator, I managed the entire hiring process, including recruiting, advertising, interviewing, reference checks, background checks, and drug tests.
