Graduate student pursuing Masters in Computer Networking from North Carolina State University, Raleigh - NC (Expected Graduation: December 2015)
My courses range from Design and analysis of Algorithms to Routed Network Design and Management. I have taken a plethora of programming and networking courses and have got the best of both worlds. I have also dabbled in Wireless Networking , Internet Protocols (both basic and advanced) and core networking subjects like Computer Networks.
I am passionate about networks and am looking for an full time opportunity to contribute my knowledge and skills in this field. Following is a quick overview of my profile :
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP - Switch )
Industrial experience with Tata Consultancy Services
Protocols and Technologies/area:
IPv4, TCP/IP, UDP,DHCP, CIDR, ARP, RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, IPv6 (OSPF/v3, RIPng), VTP, VLAN, STP, RSTP, Ether channel,PVST+, MST, PAGP/LACP, FR, Inter-VLAN Routing.
Network Engineer Intern @ Introduction to Y!'s datacenter, corporate and backbone network Understand Data center networking (MST, Multi-area OSPF,BGP, HSRP/VRRP) Responsible for building a dynamic AS-Built diagram tool for documenting the site design of data centers. Incharge of provisioning a framework whereby a diagram can be generated for a given site (location).Responsible for providing diagram preservation with GIT where the diagram can be stored with good version controls around it. The tool will revise the Network Org As-Builts twiki page so that clicking on a link will allow engineering to access the necessary diagram from GIT or generate a current diagram on the fly. The tool has built-in functionality whereby a weekly “Generate a full As-Built”set of diagrams can be processed and stored From June 2015 to Present (3 months) Sunnyvale, CaliforniaAssistant System Engineer- Trainee @ Designed a railway reservation and ticketing system that runs java on the back end From December 2013 to April 2014 (5 months) MumbaiLecturer @ Taught the Third semester course in Computer Engineering, 'Electronic Circuits and Communication Fundamentals' From May 2013 to November 2013 (7 months) Mumbai Area, IndiaResearch Intern @ Worked on Wireless Networks under the guidance of Dr. D.A.Roy ( Scientific Officer, Grade H). Developed an algorithm which was successful in augmenting energy efficiency by over 12% by introducing new parameters Provided the sensor nodes with 128 bit Key security level for secure data transmission Found it to be proficient in optimizing energy requirements for real time applications Developed a code for Advanced Encryption Standard in C language to ensure basic security measures on nodes. It used a substitution-permutation network and the ciphertext was generated after 10 cycles of repetition for 128-bit keys. From May 2012 to May 2013 (1 year 1 month) Mumbai
