Conception, design and development of business critical asset management software within Technicolor’s European HQ. Trained users, managers and IT support staff to use, report and maintain bespoke software. From January 2005 to July 2006 (1 year 7 months) DVD Producer @ I was responsible for managing projects creating optical discs from cinematic films for distribution by major Hollywood Studios and UK distributors. This encompasses everything from research and budget proposals to signing off asset problems and approving output on behalf of the client. This necessitated an in depth understanding of video, audio and subtitle quality ranging from physical artefacts inherent on the original film strip to compression issues and subtitle positioning. I project managed up to 20 simultaneous releases with combined budgets in excess of £1m including MGM's flagship James Bond brand. From January 2003 to December 2004 (2 years) Lead Project Engineer (London) @ Specifying, ordering and managing the installation of professional sound and lighting equipment across the London area. Responsible for providing engineering expertise to clients enabling them to leverage or enhance their audio visual systems. From January 2002 to December 2002 (1 year) Field Systems Engineer @ Aerial Camera Systems provides specialist video camera systems to the UK Film and TV industry. I managed and operated the outside broadcast (OB) remote camera systems used at the majority of televised UK sporting events. As part of a team of OB engineers, I would supply, rig and operate specialist camera systems for a variety of clients. Primarily using the ‘Net Cams’ for BSkyB, ITV and the BBC, I have also used the Tethered Blimp, the Wire-Cam, Jimmy-Jibs, trackers and various other ‘hot head’ cameras. I have operated TV Cameras and outside broadcast systems Live on Air for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and BSkyB. I was also responsible for initiating and implementing several improvements to the systems, including OB trucks and designing the next generation rail cam for the Salt lake City Winter Olympics. From June 2001 to December 2001 (7 months) Project Manager @ The British Broadcasting Corporation is arguably the most renowned and revered broadcasting organisation in the world, transmitting content to most of the planets population and continuously pioneering new technology. Working with senior project managers I was involved in every aspect of project management from project start up to commissioning, training and handover. I received full training in project management and was able to implement this successfully. Regularly I liaised with clients and contractors, developed new ideas and solved problems. I co-managed the project to expand BBC World Service English Networks from 3 to 8, pioneered animated Digital Onscreen Graphics for BBC television channels, piloted Automated Radio systems for the BBC world service and was heavily involved in the migration from the analogue Network Transmission Area to the Digital Transmission Area at Television Centre.
