1) Ford Escort India Launch-
- Worked in tandem with VC1 (Ford R&D -B seg car teams in Europe & NA). Was instrumental in increasing ride height of vehicle for Indian road conditions
- Complete vehicle homologation and proving ground testing interfacing ARAI, vehicle certification body
2) Small Car design and development - A skunk project. Lead the team of 3 engineers to develop the working mull with renowned body designer Dilip Chabaria
3) Bolero - The highest selling low segment Utility vehicle from M&M stable. It is morphed version of Armada, the UV which was at the fag end of it's product life. Lead the design with team of 3 engineers from scratch. Held key function in complete design , Design Verification, Validation and interface for in-house tooling of body panels , F&T and key supplier development like IP and vehicle homologation including proving ground testing. From January 1995 to May 1999 (4 years 5 months) Assistant Manager - Chassis design @ Worked in Motorcycle & Scooter Chassis design group in R&D
1). VA- VE champion for scooter and motorcycle design group– Achieved resounding annual saving of INR 8 million . This involved design, proto development and instrumented vehicle testing in field and launch interface with purchasing team.
2) Suspension spring commonisation for all scooters variants without compromising ride quality to reduce inventory count. This involved instrumented road data acquisition and rigorous testing working with damper supplier, damper values tuning, sprung & un-sprung mass re-distribution and launch interface to support 3000 scooters production per day
3) Compression and Tension Spring design specialist for all applications. From August 1991 to December 1994 (3 years 5 months)
