It was successfully accomplished a month before the deadline.• Transportation System (TS): Restructured the GPS Navigation Subsystem into a new architecture based on components, implementing a new interface to handle the communication between different GPS chips (e.g. Ublox, Garmin and Raystar) and the subsystem.• TS: Programmed the interface to control the embedded EEPROM, and learned the IPC messages usage and socket programming.• TS: As a team member, developed part of the vehicle monitoring feature which receives messages coming from J1708, J1587 and J1939 network, standardizes them in a specific format and sends them over-the-air (OTA) to the server.TS: Created a Python script to update the SQLite database based on every subsystems’ INI file, then updated the main Software Release script to use the updated database. Achievement Highlights:- Designed and implemented the system for the company. Mounted a small computer and two big monitors inside of the bus, playing a variety of content such as news, sports, documentaries, gags, trailers and others, besides the customers advertising.- Created an algorithm to automatically synchronize the content once the user plug a Flash Drive to the computer. Also, it collected the generated reports and logs from the system.- Contributed with the installation of the equipment in different buses.
