Program Manager, Digital Innovation @ Inspired business and IT teams across GE Capital globally to discover and implement new ways to apply emerging technologies to grow revenue.
- Formed and facilitated the GE Capital Digital Growth Council, global group of senior Marketing and IT executives focused on accelerating the speed of technical innovation through information sharing, external awareness and strategic planning.
- Spearheaded engagement with Undercurrent, a Digital Strategy agency, which resulted in several
senior-level initiatives, including an all-day digital transformation workshop for 20 senior leaders.
- Managed a global IT Hackathon for GE Capital with 50 teams and 200 employees resulting in several implemented new product ideas.
- Led evaluation process to select a 3rd party Innovation Management System to be leveraged by 3 business platforms across GE Capital.
- Co-led creation of technology tradeshow events (a.k.a. “The Lab”) that exposed attendees to the latest concepts in technology and innovation, including 3D printing, Google Glass and Augmented Reality in a fun and engaging way. The Lab was delivered first to GE employees only, and after very positive feedback, to top customers and executives.
- Managed migration of Salesforce.com environment from Asia to Europe for GE's Working Capital Solutions business.
- Led the "Women and Technology" sub-team of the GE Women's Network in Danbury, CT From April 2014 to Present (1 year 7 months) Danbury, CTSenior Projects Manager, Digital Innovation @ Managed innovative technology projects through all phases of product development, with emphasis on "Lean Start-up" approach and corporate incubation of break-through ideas.
- Led a cross-functional team from IT, User Experience, Legal, Marketing, Operations and external customers through design, development, testing and delivery of a online credit applications systems for business loans. This "eApps" offering was delivered in 8 weeks and brought in $2 million of funded volume in the first 6 months and quickly became an important new product for the business.
- Managed enhancements and support for Genius, a salesforce effectiveness iPad app for 800 GE Capital sales people pulling data from Salesforce.com and several external data sources. Genius was recognized by Tim Cook, Apple CEO, at iPhone 5 launch presentation as an example of how "brick and mortar" companies can apply Apple technology to grow revenue. for more information see http://sayhellotogenius.com. From September 2012 to Present (3 years 2 months) Danbury, CTProcess Leader and Master Black Belt @ Managed a team of Black Belts delivering Six Sigma and Lean process improvement projects in the areas of Equipment Finance, Corporate Lending and Healthcare Financial Services (HFS).
· Led Lean workouts and improvement activities for a team servicing $100 million of syndicated HFS loans and leases. Implemented control mechanism designed to avoid $1 million of write-offs.
· Managed Define phase for SYNAM 5.3, an IT system designed to service $3.8 billion of syndicated loans and leases. Eliminated the need for 1,600 Excel worksheets and enabled productivity benefits of $500,000.
· Analyzed the deal conversion calculations for Corporate Finance and implemented improvements that allowed senior leaders for a quicker response to changes in market conditions.
· Applied Change Acceleration Process (CAP) and project management expertise to
re-focus a struggling Cash Flow Risk cross-functional team. After 10 months of previous unsuccessful attempts, team was able to agree on process design that was efficient and met regulatory and records retention guidelines.
· Designed and implemented an Idea Submission and Evaluation process resulting in 67 ideas, of which 5 were added to the Strategic Business plan for Corporate Finance. Received an award from the CEO of GE Capital Americas for Imagination And Courage.
· Taught SimpLean classes to GE employees. From March 2006 to August 2012 (6 years 6 months) Danbury, CTSix Sigma Black Belt @ Led process improvement workouts and projects for GE Capital’s Global Asset Management group responsible for servicing ~ 400,000 loans and leases from U.S, Canada and Puerto Rico.
· Initiated and executed a Net Promoter Score survey, analysis and actions that led to an increase of NPS from -25 to 0.
· Mentored 10 Green Belt candidates through the Six Sigma certification process.
· Led integration of Citi Capital’s assets with GE’s portfolio management systems and processes in a very fast-paced environment – completed on-time despite reduction in project timeline by 50%. Enabled 400% increase in volume with only 20% increase in headcount through simplification and digitization.
· Managed integration of the Asset Management function with staff of 200 between two GE businesses using LEAN methodology resulting in reduction of cycle time, elimination of paper processes and reduction in workforce.
· Initiated and led an enhancement to GAM’s lease buyout quote software resulting in increase in Evergreen income in excess of $1 million per year. From January 2004 to February 2006 (2 years 2 months) Danbury, CTIntegrations Manager @ Managed complex projects integrating Accounts Payables systems of Fortune 20 companies with GE's Accounts Payables factoring engine.
