with over 12 years of networking experience, I am familiar with a broad range of technologies.

As a Cisco Certified Systems Instructor I deliver Cisco trainings. I specialized in Cisco datacenter using Cisco Nexus switches and virtualization.
Currently I have my own business with the name “DETCit” (pronounced “That’s It”). The focus is project, consultancy and training. Currently my major clients are Carante Groep, CiS group, Fast Lane, Skybit, Nervatuur, Gilde Opleidingen, EPO and Rijnijssel.

• Prepared, tested and migrated 2x Checkpoint Firewall to a new IP290 series platform with Secure Platform management server running on version NGX R65 maintaining the current configuration. This is a political complex environment which handles traffic for all EPO national offices across Europe.
• Supporting the operational network services team with testing and migrating security equipment.

• Project leader and technical consultant following Cisco Lifecycle services migrating a new LAN from 3Com to Cisco (with Wireless) and a new WAN with Internet infrastructure consisting of 120x Cisco 3560, 60x 3750, 2x CAT6509, 2x WISM, 170x Aironet’s, 2x ASA5550 Firewall’s and an ISA2006 cluster.
• I manage the project under regime of CAP Gemini following Prince2.
• The network technique includes DOT1q-tunnel, QoS and VRF to deliver a multiservice network with Voice and Data.
• There are 18 locations with 5000 students and 1000 employees.
• Around 200 Wireless AP’s register at 4 WLC’s at the datacenter managed by WCS.
• The WAN is a Ziggo L2 network with 1Gbit access and 10Gbit core links to the CAT6509 with the dot1q-tunnel technique.
• I designed the L3 over the WAN with OSPF, QoS and VRF’s for VOIP and Data.
• I designed Internet with redundant links via Surfnet. The speed is 1Gbit using BGP as the routing protocol for IPv4 and IPv6.
