Craig also provided strategic advise on the Program Management framework adopted by the Bank. Lead Quality Assurance, Oracle HR/Payroll Program, Department of Health (NSW) Craig led the review of the Department of Health's Oracle HR/Payroll program using SMS's Program review framework. The review entailed review of Program Management, Change Management, HR/Payroll functional teams, technical and the multi-million dollar Oracle fixed price contract. Interviews included the CIO of SIM and the CEO of Health Support. The report was presented to the Program's Steering Committee. From August 2009 to September 2009 (2 months) Senior Consultant @ From March 2006 to October 2008 (2 years 8 months) SMS Management & Technology - Project Manager QMS & Strategic Selection @ Was engaged from the start of 2008 by St George Bank. Craig had a dual responsibility: Establish and manage the RFP process and RFP document to review St George's cash replenishment services and ATM maintenance. Craig established and managed both the Steering Committee and the Working party comprising members of procurement, the banking operation business and IT. The contract was greater than $15 million annually and was one of the bank's largest services agreements. Craig was instrumental in the review, scoring and selection process. Project Manage a Quality Management System initiative. This was a comprehensive initiative to improve efficiency of processes in the Group Technology Operations division of the bank. Craig managed the requirements gathering, engaged with black belt and green belt Six Sigma consultants and staff, facilitated requirements definition to IT Architects to ascertain the suitability of the current Filenet application. Craig also managed the relationship with an external consultant and software vendor (i-nexus) for the training and implementation of a package to manage and report on the performance of all green belt projects. From January 2008 to March 2008 (3 months) SMS Management & Technology - Program Director, Strategic Information Management, NSW Health @ Craig led strategic programs for Patient Billing across all Area Health Services (AHS). His responsibilities included finalising and gaining approval from the CIO and CFO of Health for the program justification and budget to roll out Patient Billing solution across eight AHS's. He also coordinated the technical review by Compuware of the preferred Patient Billing solution and managed the communication to key stakeholders across the AHS's. Craig also managed the contract negotiation between Department of Health and the software vendor for a state-wide license. From July 2007 to December 2007 (6 months) SMS Management & Technology - Project Manager @ Led a number of streams for a program of Workers Compensation reforms, code named 'NOVO'. The program enhanced GIO systems' ability to deliver on management and performance reporting requirements under the NSW Treasury Managed Fund management contract awarded by SICorp. Craig's responsibilities included: review and rationalisation of the legal & rehabilitation provider panel (including engaging with Procurement on a RFP and panel selection process); development of a "Scheme Monitoring" COGNOS cube and report solution by the GIO Actuaries to support Scheme Managers; managing an online injury guide trial with claims managers using an external software vendor; managing the relationship between GIO and SICorp; and development of the business case for GIO systems enhancements. Mentor/ Business Analyst, Tabcorp Craig was engaged as a business engagement consultant at Tabcorp, acting as the link between business and technical services. Concentrating on the Casino business and Kiosk services, his responsibilities included workshop facilitation, management of the development of formal business requirements through to acceptance, development of cost/benefits analyses, and completion of the business case. Craig was also asked to mentor Tabcorp staff and provide guidance and advice on business analysis methods and techniques. From October 2006 to June 2007 (9 months) Senior Manager @ From November 2005 to March 2006 (5 months) Project Manager/Business Case facilitator @ Managed a small team of staff and consultants developing a business case for Enterprise Reporting across a number of Westpac's divisions. Working to tight deadlines for delivery of the business case, the approach taken involved sampling requirements across a number of the Bank's divisions to determine areas of viability for Enterprise Reporting. Once key candidate areas were agreed, a detailed analysis and costing estimate was developed, leading to completion of the business case. Craig was also responsible for preparing a funding agreement with executives for the next phase of the project. From November 2005 to March 2006 (5 months) BSR Solutions - Project Manager @ Was responsible for the project management and implementation of three key solutions for a multi-million dollar leasing systems, covering the Vendor Finance, Consumer Loans and Fleet Australia product groups. This involved establishing the team, building relations and communication with key business representatives, facilitating requirements gathering and dealing with Fleet Australia (an independent entity). The solution was progressively implemented from October 2005. Craig's other management responsibilities included negotiating with external consultants CHP Consulting on mapping/gapping of functionality, identifying change requests, supervising the building of test plans and test cases and planning implementation and conversion. From March 2005 to October 2005 (8 months) Director @ Was appointed a Director of BSR Solutions, with responsibilities including marketing and practice management activities as well as client consulting engagements Specific engagements follow From October 2003 to October 2005 (2 years 1 month) BSR Solutions - Business Analyst @ Was initially engaged at the implementation phase of a new Leasing solution that the bank was developing, to replace all their Asset Finance solutions. The solution was a U.K package called ALFA, marketed by CHP Consulting. Craig was responsible gaining agreement for finance process requirements (in particular, the bank reconciliation, payments and month-end processes), and then supervising development of them in the process software, ARIS. The solution was successfully implemented in February 2005. From November 2004 to March 2005 (5 months) BSR Solutions - Program Manager @ Was responsible for establishing program governance processes & structures, roles & responsibilities, budget controls, project reporting structures, etc. He established and managed the project delivery team, managed relations with the incumbent services provider (CCSU), and managed the change program that delivered the new services to 500 employees. He also coordinated changes to payment practices with 200 paying entities dealing with DIPNR (mainly local councils). Craig successfully delivered the project, achieving target savings of $1.5M per financial year. Other projects managed by Craig included an Organisational Re-structure; Migration of the Dept. of Lands HR/Payroll from DIPNR; Transition of managed facilities from CCSU to DIPNR (including telephony, motor vehicles, building management, records management and mail room processing); Transition from the CCSU Records Management system to DIPNR; and various project and budget reviews for $1.2M of projects for Water Management. From October 2003 to September 2004 (1 year) BSR Solutions - Project Director, NSW Department of Infrastructure @ Was initially engaged to develop a Project Charter, including a program roadmap and reporting structure, to transition Finance and HR/Payroll services from a shared services centre run by 'Central Corporate Services Unit (CCSU)', to DIPNR processes and systems. He reported to a steering committee comprising From October 2003 to September 2004 (1 year) Project Manager @ Managed a business critical compliance project for the Business Banking division, to service obligations under the Financial Services Regulation Act (FSRA). The project was successfully completed for the bank to apply for its ASIC license on June 30, 2003. His responsibilities included establishing the project management framework; project scoping & impact assessment (product, technology, process, document management, training and HR); designing and validating solutions. Craig also managed the relationship with other Commonwealth Bank divisions including Retail Banking, Insurance and Premium Financial Services. He managed the training program and negotiated with stakeholders to achieve a national rollout to qualify all staff. From February 2003 to October 2003 (9 months) Project Manager @ Was retained to provide project management services for a Transfer Pricing project. He established the selection framework and coordinated the selection process for both consultancy services and the IT solution for a budget/planning module. Craig also managed the Hyperion Planning solution from tendering and selection through to implementation. This included managing the vendor relationship providing both the software product and consulting services. From August 2002 to December 2002 (5 months) Principal Consultant @ From February 1997 to July 2002 (5 years 6 months) PwC - Lead Consultant @ Lead 8 of 11 quality review streams, assessing the quality of a fixed price global design for a major SAP project, with budgets exceeding $200 million. He was responsible for all Banking and Financial streams. This was an extremely delicate assignment given the review was of deliverables generated by Deloittes, the bank's implementation partner. Craig also provided knowledge and coaching on financial services matters. From January 2002 to February 2002 (2 months) Principal Consultant @ From 1997 to 2002 (5 years) PwC - Account & Project Manager @ Managed the team to replace a corporate treasury system with functionality from SAP's Treasury Management module. This included utilising the sub-modules of securities, loans, bonds and market and credit risk management. Craig managed all components of this fixed price engagement. From February 2001 to June 2001 (5 months) PwC - ERP Consultant @ Participated in a finance systems review for AMP. This client had invested in a PeopleSoft solution locally but retained its old finance systems in its investments in the U.K. PwC were engaged to review their PeopleSoft project in Australia and recommend a global strategy for the organisation's finance and MIS requirements in the immediate and long-term. From March 2001 to May 2001 (3 months) PwC - Package Selection Facilitator @ Was engaged to facilitate a package selection process to choose between PeopleSoft and SAP. This involved coordinating vendor communications, facilitating workshops, coordinating vendor response evaluation and presenting conclusions. From July 2000 to September 2000 (3 months) PwC - Business Project Manager @ This engagement was as a Business Project Manager to coordinate the GST program office for the Institutional Bank (Business Bank). Responsibilities included managing contract review for the division, workshopping GST concepts (product and pricing issues) with the business, and managing the project office including steering committee reporting, issue management and monitoring of the project plan. From July 1999 to July 2000 (1 year 1 month) PwC - Business Development/Project Director @ Led the team, which marketed a proposal to this organisation for the replacement of their existing payment systems. On confirmation of the sale, Craig adopted the role as project director. The project involved upgrading the Client's SAP system and replacing a legacy payment system with SAP functionality. This project also involved process change and training of affected staff. This project was completed successfully on a fixed price contract. From October 1999 to June 2000 (9 months) PwC - Project Manager @ This project required completion of a detailed scoping study in Japan. Responsibilities included interviewing senior business representatives, documenting and obtaining client approvals for project plans and scoping specifications, and assisting with project establishment. From May 1999 to June 1999 (2 months) PwC - Project Manager @ Managed the post-implementation review and support of the Client's SAP system upgrade. Responsibilities included management of a team of consultants and client staff who provided ongoing system support and enhancement, coordination of contractual reports, work orders, billing services, monthly reporting and risk analysis. From January 1999 to May 1999 (5 months) PwC - Project Leader @ was responsible for managing a team engaged in rolling out a global SAP template. Zurich Australia had systems developed independently of previous global models so the project required an analysis of Zurich's 4 existing Polisy implementations. Each system had been heavily customised to support either the Life or General businesses. With a team of up to 20 staff taking requirements through design and testing to deployment, Craig was actively involved in Data Strategy development, in reengineering previously hard-coded data translation services out of the Polisy system, and in mapping business rules to a new chart of accounts. From April 1998 to January 1999 (10 months) PwC - Implementation Consultant @ This project involved a multi-million pound Global implementation of SAP in most of this bank's foreign operations. As a multi-currency specialist on the project, Craig developed the conceptual implementation designs for New York, London, Asia/Pacific and Australia, accommodating other major project dependencies like Euro launch, Y2K and mergers. From February 1997 to December 1997 (11 months) Senior Business Analyst @ Craig was responsible for the selection of a HR/Payroll solution. This included assessing SAP, People Soft and a number of other candidate HR/Payroll vendors.
