Devoted my career to Brands & Brand equity building. From studying marketing, have followed a marketing career but with a specialism in alcoholic beverage (of which I've spent over 13 years in different disciplinces, ranging from: innovation; classical marketing; marketing activation & in the recent years marketing strategy across a portfolio of brands). I have worked in global marketing but have specialised over time in Southern Africa. In my current position as Marketing Director Angola; Mozambique; Zimbabwe; Namibia; Zambia; Lesotho; Swaziland; Botswana - I lead & develop a team of marketing people across the region.
In my current role, my area of responsibility & accountability extended to general management.
My passion has always been the building of brand equities. Over time I have come to the conclusion that strong brands is what drives successful FMCG companies. A maticulous building of a brand over time in a consistent manner is what entrenches consumer franchises that are a bed rock of a sustainable business.
