Software Task Lead - SW PERFORMANCE TEAM
Lead a team of 5 senior software engineers to enhances performance of the HMS radio product. Efforts involved utilizing real-time measurement techniques and GHS RTOS tools and resulted in 300% improvement in IP throughput and 500% improvement in red-to-black latency, thus providing deterministic timing of waveform operations and improving battery life of AN/PRC155 (via less CPU). From January 2011 to July 2011 (7 months) Scottsdale, Arizona, United StatesEngineering Program Manager @ Project Manager for 3 concurrent engineering development efforts with a team of ~35 with diverse backgrounds. Responsible for meeting delivery milestones while remaining within the $5M/year budget.
802.16 System Effort: Lead project for the development, test and operation of the broadband 802.16 waveform to the HMS radios. Subcontract management in working with Aeronix Inc.
Type 1 Vehicle Radio Development Effort: Lead project for the design and development of a new vehicular radio leveraging JTRS core radio components. Included leading a team of mechanical, electrical, safety, systems, security and software engineering teams for the new radio product.
NSA Certification Effort: Efforts involved the NSA certification process for High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryption (HAIPE) COMSEC as an embedded INE that 802.16 waveform utilizes while operating on the Type 1 Vehicle Radio system.
