I am a Senior at Michigan State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management within the Eli Broad College of Business. MSU is known for having a top program in the field of SCM, and I am honored to be a part of it. While advancing my knowledge I am heavily involved with three groups on campus that provide additional skills and expertise for success in the business world, and I am always looking to advance my leadership skills. As a college student active in extracurriculars while working a part-time job I pride myself on my time management skills. I believe that learning from experience is equally as important as learning in the classroom. I am expected to graduate in May of 2016, at this time I will be looking to start my career with a position that will provide me with a wide breadth of experience in all realms of Supply Chain Management.Director of Operations, Supply Chain Management Association @ Responsible for planning two 4-day corporate tours throughout the school year to nearby cities with 3-4 company tours/presentations for 40 members. From April 2015 to Present (9 months) Assistant Network Administrator @ Grant all network or computer related access to all 4000+ RHS employees across the division. Create and assign shared mailboxes, distribution groups, and employee accounts. Maintain accurate, up-to-date files of all changes to user access via service request system projects. Created quick and repeatable process for gathering reports and creating metric graphics to display to management. From January 2015 to Present (1 year) Supply Chain Management Intern- Customs and Logistics @ Validated shipping locations for the Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) security certification for use of the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) system. Discovered 44% cost savings for FAST entries annually. Coordinated first quarter review on-site with service provider to report out to senior management. Assisted in implementing process improvements at the plant level to provide accurate return loads of reusable shipping materials to international suppliers. Verified IOR's for international shipments. From May 2015 to August 2015 (4 months) Club Server @ Responsible for knowledge of entire menu, performing inventory reconciliation on a periodic system, and inputting orders to a POS system. Basic accounting principles used when recording sales and tips each shift. Ensure customer satisfaction with meal and overall experience to approximately 20-25 guests per event. From October 2013 to August 2015 (1 year 11 months) Program Leader @ Coordinated outdoor programs for people of all ages at different sites around southeastern Michigan. The groups were of all sizes and included a wide array of outdoor activities, such as; geocaching, fishing, and inflatables. Also helped with special event programs. From May 2013 to August 2015 (2 years 4 months) Departmental Aide @ Maintain up-to-date log for all incoming and outgoing packages, as well as create shipping labels for the outgoing items. Responsible for informing all office members of upcoming events and meetings by distributing a daily memo called "The Daily Download", weekly updates to the Information Services wiki page to let staff know metrics of actives that week and ongoing projects, and changing the digital signs around the office daily. From December 2014 to April 2015 (5 months) Front Desk Receptionist @ "Shining Star" Employee of the Month Award-April 2014 Responsible for greeting and checking in members, updating their profiles and contact information, and answering phones then transferring to the requested department. Also, worked with a POS system and maintained a balanced cash drawer.
