Principal - Business Development @ I focus on finding new investment opportunities for LLR Partners. I spend my time searching for entrepreneurial-minded CEOs who may be looking for an equity partner to help fuel the growth of their business.
We are passionate about partnering with driven entrepreneurs who envision growing their companies to considerable scale. We are open minded about which industries we invest in although we prefer to focus on the services sector of the economy. This includes healthcare services, financial services, business services, software and tech-enabled services, education and other consumer services.
We typically invest $15-75 million at a time into companies that have already reached a scale of $15 – 20M in revenue although we will consider investing in smaller technology companies.
LLR is unique in that we don’t require control of a company to make an investment. Over our 12 year history, our capital has been deployed almost evenly between majority and minority positions. We have even made several investments in which we own the business 50/50 with the entrepreneur. We also don’t charge entrepreneurs any "management fees". Many private equity funds do this as a way to be compensated for their time spent working with the company. We believe that for growing companies, the best use of our capital is to keep it in the business.
