GameSpy’s technology is accessible on every gaming platform and has been utilized by more than 1000 titles to date, including landmark games like Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption, Nintendo’s Mario Kart Wii, and Crytek’s Crysis franchise.
In this role I was responsible for the entire GameSpy engineering group. Responsibilities included: Technical Leadership and Strategy, Resourcing and Staffing, Technical Architecture and Design, Overall Project Leadership. Oversight of both the Product Engineering team as well as the Professional Services Engineering team. From 2009 to 2011 (2 years) San Francisco Bay AreaLead Professional Services Engineer @ In this role I was responsible for leading the Professional Services Engineering team. Responsibilities included, Technical Leadership and Oversight of consulting projects, Online Systems Architecture & Design, Systems Integration and Development of custom software solutions, team leadership of project teams ranging in size from 2 – 15. From 2007 to 2009 (2 years) San Francisco Bay AreaSr. Professional Services Engineer @ In this role I acted as a Sr. Engineer for the Professional Services Engineering team. Responsibilities included, Requirments Analysis, Design, Development, and integration of GameSpy SDKs and custom services From 2005 to 2007 (2 years) San Francisco Bay AreaLead Applications Developer @ CUDirect is the largest point-of-sale lending network for the credit union industry providing internet based solutions to the automotive industry.
My Role at CUDL was as a Lead Engineer working on EAI projects based on .Net technologies. Working on requirements gathering, designing of N-tier applications, web services, and enterprise reporting solutions. I provided guidance in the areas of formal software development methodologies, standards, architectures and best practice. I provided leadership and mentoring to junior developers, managed and integrated source control systems as well as managed our development portal.
Projects included: The migration of CUDirect’s core legacy products to Microsoft based enterprise architectures. Including ASP.Net web applications, web services and WinForm applications. Other projects include enhancements to both our corporate web site as well as the creation of CUDirect’s automotive research web site. Integration of Java based servers into CUDirect’s Microsoft based environment to support JSP based applications. From 2003 to 2005 (2 years) Sacramento, California AreaLead Software Engineer @ LAS is a developer of flight training devices and software for the home and professional flight training markets.
My Role at LAS was as the Lead Engineer working to produce software solutions for Flight Training Devices. Utilizing programmable joystick interfaces to connect simulation hardware to Microsoft Simulator 2000.
Projects Included: The design, development, and released of the LAS Instructor Console application for a Microsoft Simulator 2000 network. This application allows an instructor to remotely monitor, control, and instruct students utilizing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000.
I was also the creator of the Deltawing.com web site for LAS Simulation related products. An ecommerce website allowing online purchases of software and hardware components created by LAS. The site included Paypal and UPS integration. From 2002 to 2004 (2 years) Software Engineer @ Base Two Solutions was a software consulting firm based in Sacramento California. Paybar.com was a subsidiary of Base Two Solutions focusing on incentive based advertising programs. I was involved in both consulting opportunities for Base Two as well as participation in the Paybar.com venture.
Projects Included: E-commerce and order and fulfillment web sites for customers such as Blue Shield of California, The Red Cross, and McKesson Health care.
My Role for PAYBAR.com I was a Lead developer working to develop a web based incentive based advertising windows tool bar. The position involved both client and server side applications, as well as data base management and web development. From 2001 to 2002 (1 year) Sacramento, California AreaSoftware Engineering Manager @ Direct Influence is a software consulting company specializing in custom application development.
My Role was as the Development Manager with supervision of 3-5 engineers working on two different projects.
Projects Included: A Credit Decision Systems as well as job tracking software. From 2000 to 2001 (1 year) Sacramento, California AreaSoftware Engineer @ ShareWave Inc. was a company specializing in high performance home networking technology. A technology provider of highly integrated semiconductors and networking software for high-performance, multimedia, broadband gateways and wireless in-home networks.
My Role was as a Software Engineer working for the User Interface team. Focusing on UI development for windows applications.
Projects Include: I was involved in software development for several wireless networking applications and custom user interfaces for wireless television set-top boxes. From 1997 to 2000 (3 years)
