Project Engineer @ GTD I was responsible of the development of software applications for robots to help in the detection and elimination of antipersonnel land-mines. I designed and developed software to intelligently and automatically detect landmines based on multi source sensing information, including ground penetrating radar, metal detector and a biological vapor sensor. From July 2002 to September 2003 (1 year 3 months) Barcelona Area, SpainAdjunct Professor @ La Salle University I prepared and delivered lectures, examinations and laboratory classes in "Introduction to Programming" undergraduate course and in "Distributed Programming" course at graduate level.I also researched several methods for diagnosing breast cancer from mammographs combining image processing and Case Based Reasoning. I was member of the the "Intelligent Group" research laboratory and I was involved in different fields related to Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Mathematical Analysis. From 2001 to 2003 (2 years) Robotics Commercialization Specialist @ Carnegie Mellon University I started as robotics engineer and increased my roles and responsibilities over time. I led several projects for automation in agriculture and specialty crops. In this period, I developed several autonomous platforms, as well as invented automation devices for large machinery equipment in agriculture, resulting in several patents and invention disclosures.
