Major acquisitions cut both ways. We had the benefit of HP's brand and massive resources, but our customers were extremely nervous about the future of our products inside HP.
As the campaign marketing leader for the Quality Management software portfolio, I set up "defend the turf" campaigns (reassuring our customers) and aggressive growth campaigns (to load the pipeline with leads for sales) so we wouldn't experience a revenue hiccup.
