The building holds approximately 550 residential units and a 120 room hotel along with leisure facilities, retail units and a basement car park. The highly articulated building has several indentations and bridging structures. Canary Gateway Project- comprise of 160 luxurious apartments arranged from ground to 6th floor level, providing a superb mix of studio and 1, 2 & 3 bedroom living space. Pump House Project- The project comprises two separate buildings, a 24 storey residential tower with ground floor podium over a single storey basement (Block A) and three storey commercial unit and single level energy centre (Block B). The residential apartments extends from level 1 to level 23 at Block A. Temporary Works Design Engineer I have over 9 years’ experience in civil engineering, working on various projects within the water, energy and utilities sectors. I have a wide knowledge, experience and understanding of design, and management of the installation, monitoring & removal of Temporary Works Schemes. Liaising, advising and assisting the site team to ensure they have design solutions that meet their needs for safety, practicality and cost. •Full design and detailing of major temporary works, review of subcontractor and proprietary suppliers designs and evaluation of temporary works proposals. •Typical designs include cofferdams, crane bases / piling platforms, temporary bridging and temporary propping of structures, thrust pits, formworks, falsework, back propping, hoardings, placing boom base, loading gantry propping etc. •Major design review work and approval include sheet-piling checks for trenches and cofferdams, slope stability checks, scaffold drawings, formwork and false work schemes. •Design reviews and designs carried out in accordance with BS: 5975 (Code of practice for false work) •Risk Assessments for all sorts of temporary works designs and reviews. •Liaise with subcontractors designers (SGB, PERI UK Ltd, RMD, MGF, and Ground Force etc) on temporary work design issues.
