From September 2013 to Present (2 years 2 months) AmsterdamChief Architect @ Hyves was the biggest social network in the Netherlands and I was invited to work at Hyves when it was still growing rapidly. It was an experience by itself to work in a startup with very dynamic environment and deal with high performance scalability problems. I lead teams to build and maintain products like search, messaging, classifieds, media uploaders, etc. that were used by millions of users, while working with product managers, community support and system engineers. I have applied several principles like AB-testing, incremental-release, dark-launches, etc. I also hired/mentored team members and had pleasure to work with many smart people. After Hyves was bought by TMG, I picked another challenge to help local regional news brand Dichtbij to simplify its architecture and speedup the product development. From May 2013 to September 2013 (5 months) AmsterdamTeam Lead @ From January 2009 to April 2013 (4 years 4 months) Sr. Tech Lead @ I was part of online configurator group and built many large scale internal and consumer facing applications. For example I was leading a team to build tool for mass data maintenance on millions of sku/parts for managing attributes and authoring predicate based validations rules that are used by online/offline configurator for servers, desktops and laptops brands like PowerEdge, Inspiron, Latitude, etc. Before leaving Dell and I was leading a team of 7-8 members and was responsible for interaction with business, ensuring good development practices, initiating integration related discussions with global teams, coordination with software testing group, etc. I was actively involved in the recruitment and traveled to various cities in India like Pune, Hydrabad, etc. for hiring. I worked with teams at Dell Round Rock, TX, USA for few months to facilitate multi-site development following scrum.
