I have had the opportunity to work on several different teams and products. Working on small agile teams with quick release cycles and large complicated teams with challenging dependencies. This has also provided me experience across the full stack of web technologies, addressing issues in client side JavaScript all the way down to designing and tuning database queries. During this time my passion for automation, to make things simple and repeatable has been a big asset. I care a great deal about code quality (both in defect rate and making it easier to understand) but I also understand how to balance that with business requirements and deadlines.

I am currently working on a exciting side project which combines OpenCV (Python) along with machine learning.
Outside of work, I love picking up new technologies in order to solve real world problems better and faster. I currently have a fun side project with another developer to re-imagine the current tools for tracking fitness and strength training. http://github.com/AnthonyHonstain/bigfitnessgains I also continue to develop and maintain a Django/PostgreSQL site http://www.rc-stats.com which has a small but passionate group of users.
Even further outside of work, I am an avid outdoor enthusiast (backpacking, cycling, and running).
