Brazil-based journalist, doer of things I am passionate about.
---
I got my first job at age 14 flipping burgers at McDonald's. At 15 I became a computer instructor and did that until I was 17, when I started writing professionally about technology. Since then, I've built a large network of senior relationships, demonstrated in a solid track-record of exclusive reporting and opinion published in leading publications, as well as published books, successful events, campaigns and communities online and offline.
Lived, worked and studied overseas (Italy and UK) for a decade and returned to São Paulo in December 2011. I then set up IT Decisions, a communications company serving tech, media and entertainment firms. Our work includes original content creation, ghost blogging, social media (strategy, execution and monitoring), conference production and speaking, as well as translation and localisation - to and from Portuguese into English and the other main European languages.
My work and opinion across a range of subjects from technology and business to current affairs and travel can be seen in publications including The Huffington Post, BBC, The Guardian, ZDNet, ComputerWeekly and many others. I am now working on the 2015 edition of the Fodor's Travel guidebook to Brazil, as well as two other books related to travel and culture.
As well as my corporate/editorial activity, I produce cultural/music events with foreign artists in Brazil. The intention is to bring awesome people, venues and ideas together to maximise artist exposure with fans and the press. Names we worked with including Suede, Peter Hook (New Order/Joy Division), MacManus Brothers (the brothers of the legendary Elvis Costello), Dan Croll, Dave McCabe (The Zutons) to name a few. I'm also working on a cinema project, to be launched in early 2015.
I speak four languages and am currently working towards a degree in International Business Management + Spanish.
