Ensured parts were able to be installed on the assembly line. This included loading and ergonomic studies. In the APQE function I was responsible for CPM, Seats along with several other Exterior and Interior Trim components.-Project Engineer E42D Convertible Top - Advanced Part Quality Engineering, Responsible for developing assembly from Design release through tooling phase and initail vehicle builds. Responsible for developing supplier to ensure all program targets were met.Other projects while at Nissan include. - Vendor tooling lead for P42J (evaluate digital phase design via CAD and make recommendations for design changes to ensurelowest tool cost). - Responsible for DFS (Design for Shipping) for the X61F program. Purpose was to review designs and make recommendations in order to optimize packaging space to reduce shipping costs. From May 2008 to October 2010 (2 years 6 months) Sr Product Engineer @ Lear Corporation - Lead Sr. Engineer - 2011 Grand Cherokee Headliner/Overhead System. Worked on site with Chrysler Engineering and design team through all aspects of digital/design phase. Worked to meet customer demands along with ensuring the design was feasible and met our manufacturing requirements.- Lead Sr. Engineer for the Nissan D42A Headliner/Overhead System. I was responsible for all aspects of design and development from project kickoff, working with the Nissan design studio and engineering, through the tooling and initial builds.
