📖 Summary
Vice President Mobile Solutions @ HP Developed and launched a company-wide strategy to deliver mobile solutions that combine hardware, software, and services to make mobility an enterprise tool (think of mobile cash registers, mobile EMR systems for healthcare, mobile blueprints for construction, etc). Defined solution roadmap and launched eight new mobile hardware products, connectivity services, and management software, increasing revenue by 400% year over year. From November 2013 to November 2015 (2 years 1 month) Palo Alto, CASr. Director Growth and Head of Marketing @ Skype Over nearly 5 years at Skype, I was lucky enough to run an Engineering Operations team that introduced Agile Software Practices, inherit a stellar growth and marketing team of 50+ acquisition, channel, and product marketing resources responsible for 40% YoY user growth, $953M (~90%) of revenue, the overall marketing strategy / budget, campaigns, and paid products. Usher through the transaction with Microsoft and then conceive, design, develop, and alpha launched the Skype Marketplace which connects remote service providers (e.g. Ask a Doctor, tutoring help, etc.) From March 2009 to October 2013 (4 years 8 months) Palo Alto, CASenior Operations Associate @ Silver Lake Partners Managed corporate wide operational improvement programs reporting to C-suite and Board of Directors. Led cross-functional restructuring teams (e.g. implemented Agile product management discipline and software development practices at Skype). Advised portfolio companies (e.g. market analysis and opportunity identification) to drive the development of technology product organizations at technology companies. From October 2008 to June 2011 (2 years 9 months) Menlo Park, CAProduct Marketing Manager @ HSBC Managed a five person team responsible for B2C products such as credit monitoring that generated $79M of revenue, exceeding expectations by 23% while growing 33% year-over-year. From January 2005 to March 2006 (1 year 3 months) Management Consultant @ Oliver Wyman Led cross-functional teams to identify new growth opportunities and operational improvements at Fortune 1000 companies such as developing an RFID warehouse management business. From September 2002 to January 2005 (2 years 5 months) Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer @ Evernote 60 days before I joined Evernote, Business Insider called us the first dead unicorn. Since then, we've achieved cash flow positive operations, added our 200Mth user, doubled paying customers, passed our 8Bth note and moved them all to the Google Cloud, rebranded an iconic Silicon Valley Company and won our 7th Webby. In the midst of those efforts, we also created the first onshore joint venture in the Internet Content Provider sector in China where we just passed 1B notes. I'm so proud to make sure it's called "Ever"note for a reason and to be part of keeping all the thoughts, ideas and memories that make up the narrative of our users' lives available forever, regardless of format, on any internet connected device.
