Andrea is the Curator of the Austin, Texas Hub, a group of Austinites under 30 across a healthcare, education, tech, research, finance, film, food and bev, and design. The Hub operates like a think tank of millennial leaders, who conjure up projects to give back to the community. From October 2013 to Present (2 years 1 month) Austin, Texas AreaProduct Marketing & Delivery Consultant @ Andrea drives product marketing in the Commerce Group at CognitiveScale, shaping the solutions around cognitive search and cognitive personalization, and powering executive insights from multi-structured data. She drives partnerships with an ecosystem of content providers, and owns delivery for Cognitive Commerce deployments for grocery stores, department stores, and apparel retailers. From March 2015 to Present (8 months) Austin, Texas AreaDirector, Special Projects @ Andrea joined CognitiveScale as an apprentice to the Executive Chairman and CEO of the company, running a variety of special projects around communications, marketing, investor relations, operations, and most importantly- Formula 1. Andrea developed key partnerships with an extensive ecosystem of content providers to bring in structured and unstructured data for Cognitive Cloud projects, and helped carve the first cognitive solutions in procurement and supply chain management. From October 2014 to March 2015 (6 months) Austin, Texas AreaAustin Metro Director @ The Cleantech Open is the world's largest accelerator for clean technology startups. We find, fund, and foster entrepreneurs addressing our most pressing energy challenges. Andrea led operations for the Austin Metro Region- recruiting startups, mentors, and sponsors to take part in the competition. From February 2014 to October 2014 (9 months) Austin, TXExecutive Director @ CleanTX was launched by the Austin Technology Incubator, Austin Energy, and the Austin Chamber of Commerce in 2007 to serve as the convening force for an emerging industry in what is now one of the most prominent hubs of cleantech innovation in the US.
During her time as ED Andrea lead collaborative projects between UT, Austin Energy, Pecan Street, and utilities, universities and cleantech startups in Europe, opening up an international platform for Central Texas companies to exchange energy solutions with an ecosystem of partners overseas. Recruited clean energy companies from the US and abroad to participate in the incubator and accelerator programs for clean energy startups in Texas. From November 2013 to October 2014 (1 year) Austin, TexasDirector of Development @ Andrea joined CleanTX in early 2013 as Director of Development, overseeing all fundraising and marketing activities for the 501c3. Andrea was able to mobilize an ecosystem of key clean energy industry partners to double the organization's operating budget and expand their programming. From March 2013 to November 2013 (9 months) Austin, TexasSustainable Development Consultant @ Greenview Advisors is an energy and sustainability consulting firm based in Singapore that serves the hospitality industry in Asia. As a consultant for Greenview Andrea led research in food, water, and sustainability, plastics, chemicals, and waste. From September 2012 to May 2013 (9 months) Austin, TXPrivate Chef @ The Pedruxella Gran is a beautiful 13th Century estate on the Spanish island of Mallorca, where Andrea lived for a season and worked as a farm-to-table private chef. Her clients were mostly German and English tourists, and an American family that owned the estate.
