I have been involved in the professional work environment since the age of fifteen. I started my career in a Seattle, WA based Law Firm where I received my first piece of career advice. Hal Hodgins, the firms only attorney said "Amber you are an amazing employee and if I could give you one piece of advice; make sure you come on time, being prompt will get you everywhere." Hal's words to me have not been forgotten and at this point in my career his words have become part of my professional mantra. "Be on time, be precise and be professional". My goals consist of family, school and work. I know that I will be a mastered professional in all three when I am ready to retire. Posting/editing/closing jobs for both properties. Strategic, gorilla and farm recruiting for both corporate and resort level positions. Including Executive Management and Director positions. Successfully launched a new applicant tracking system which entailed the creation of workflows, implementation of hiring practices and training of the system property wide. Managing the schedule of five employees and creating job responsibilities for each. Training new Recruiters and Employment Representatives on their daily job duties and various HR Systems. Assisting current and future employees with job questions, interviewing tips and position placements. Creating and being present for various types of job fairs with emphasis on military initiatives. Being present and answering questions during position elimination and severance meetings.
