I'm a motivated professional with an unconventional career path. Recently, I've made a big jump from recruiting for the biotech industry to working in the biotech industry as an analytical chemist. For the first time in a long time, I absolutely love what I do. Drawing from a strong scientific background at UMass Amherst and my own intellectual curiosity, I am in a position where I am constantly challenged to learn more, where there is a direct relationship between effort and results, and where I can see those results have a meaningful impact.
QC Analyst I @ From August 2015 to Present (5 months) Research Associate, Analytical Development @ Develop RP-HPLC methods in support of Technical Operations, predominantly using Empower 3 software with Agilent HPLC instruments.
-Coordinating with QC Chemistry team to screen HPLC columns for efficacy and future applications.
-Developing an RP-HPLC method to resolve and identify impurities in upstream production.
-Determine water content of samples using KF titration.
-Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instruments. -Sourced candidates on a contingent and retained basis through in-person networking events, an extensive Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and social media.
-Interviewed and qualified candidates on the basis technical and interpersonal skills.
-Thoroughly prepared candidates for phone-interviews, on-site interviews, and research presentations. From October 2013 to June 2014 (9 months) Military Intelligence Sergent @ Lead and trained small teams of experienced, Military Intelligence soldiers in support of infantry operations.
-Provided Military Intelligence support to Military Police and local law enforcement immediately following the Boston Marathon Bombing.
-Trained Military Intelligence soldiers in advanced concepts of mapping and land navigation. From February 2013 to February 2014 (1 year 1 month) EMT-Basic @ Provided basic life support in medical, psychiatric, and traumatic emergencies in a dense, urban population.

-Performed assay optimization of the inducible Cre/LoxP transgenic mouse line, with the goal of consistently labeling a single cell to track cell specification and differentiation.
