Passionate about travel, automobiles, motorcycles, motorsports and adventure activities, I turned my passion to a consistent career. I am a professional journalist and photographer working for more than 25 years in motor & travel magazines. After a long term career at 4Wheels, the oldest and most popular magazine in Greece, in 2007 I turned around my career departing for a trip around the world in a 4x4 car. After 1177 days, 170.000 km in 67 countries, my dream came true but the passion is still there.Freelance Journalist @ From December 2013 to Present (2 years 1 month) Freelance Journalist & Photographer @ Motoroids of India started in 2010 as a blog for cars and bikes and developed to a popular, very well informed website with 15.000 single visitors in daily basis. Motoroids is created by Amit Chhangani and a team of Indian car and motorcycle journalists. Thanks to my friendship with Amit, I just started reporting on the website with feature stories mostly related to the Italian automotive industry. From June 2013 to Present (2 years 7 months) ItalyTeam Photographer @ Thanks to Greek manager Stelios Fakalis, I am recruited as team photographer at the Ukranian Tsunami Racing Team, competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup of Italy and France with Alex Gaidai as official driver. From March 2013 to Present (2 years 10 months) ItalyJournalist & Photographer @ I created www.theworldoffroad.com in 2006 to support our around the world expedition. Year by year, the website - that was updated daily in English and Greek with photos and video diaries - became pretty popular. More than 1500 different users per day (20.000 per month) visited the website in 2010, when we returned to Europe. Since then, I changed completely the website and now intend to transform it in a travel blog for "hardcore travelers" and overlanders. The old site is still there and you can visit it clicking www.theworldoffroad.gr. From April 2007 to Present (8 years 9 months) Freelance Journalist & Photographer @ Since I left my position at 4Wheels magazine as deputy editor, I continued as a semi employed journalist till April 2007, when we started our TheWorldOffroad project and continued to report consistently with extended monthly articles. Since December 2010, I am an an external contributor to the magazine. From March 2012, I am based in Italy in order to provide feature articles to the magazine as a European contributor. From 2006 to Present (9 years) Social Media Consultant @ Since Kosmocar SA became the official supplier of Ducati motorcycles in Greece, I am in the 2Delta Productions team supervising the social media of the company, feeding with news and videos facebook, youtube and dailymotion pages of the company. I also translated the Official Ducati website in Greek. You can see the Ducati Hellas website at www.ducati.gr and tell me your opinion about the work done. From February 2013 to February 2015 (2 years 1 month) Project Lead @ On April 2013, Maserati gave me a travel project with the new Quattroporte GTS. A pre production car was prepared transferred by cargo plane to NY, where it was provided with American plates and insurance coverage. With a small group professionals like photographer Renato Zacchia, assistant photographer Gianni Pipoli and videographer Victor Ortega, we drove the car all the way to San Francisco. During the 9.100 km route in 10 American States, we portrayed the very first Quattroporte driven in the US, on the most famous landscapes: Indianapolis, Chicago, Great Plains, Pikes Peak, Bonneville Salt Flats, Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Sedona (from a helicopter!), Route 66, Las Vegas, Hollywood, US Route 1 and San Francisco. Travel stories will follow in magazines around the world and a short documentary film will be broadcasted through Maserati social media. From April 2013 to May 2013 (2 months) Modena Area, ItalyLodge Manager @ After our trip around the world, we took a break with my wife in the Tanzanian bush, where we run a luxury safari lodge, the brand new gem of east Africa, Saadani River Lodge. The lodge was created to protect the threatened environment of Wami river. Our life in the bush gave us the opportunity to survey in daily basis the habitats of hippos, crocodiles, colobus monkeys, lions and tens of bird species. I could write a small book after this experience... From December 2010 to February 2012 (1 year 3 months) Expedition Leader @ In April 2007, after a long period of planning and sponsor agreements, my partner Vula, me and our brand new Land Rover Discovery3 – the so called “karibu” – departed from Greece sponsored by 4TPOXOI magazine. After a week we were entering Africa. Our dream was coming true. Our project had a title “TheWorldOffroad” and a subtitle: “around the earth in 800 days”. In the end, it took 1177 days to drive 167.500 km. through 67 countries in 5 continents to complete our trip, which proved to be a worthy experience for both of us, even more than we could have thought about. It was a lifetime adventure that made me believe that I could keep traveling for ever. The world was so familiar, it was like home anywhere. In a way, I still keep traveling and I always work for the next project theworldoffroad2! Our expedition was a media success in Greece and abroad. In less than 4 years we took more than 150.000 pictures and filmed our life in more than 200 hours. I wrote around 600 printed pages of articles in different magazines. We uploaded around 1000 diary articles on our website www.theworldoffroad.gr. Our videos were shown on most different TV channels in Greece and shown on major channels in India, Tanzania, Australia and Peru.
