From June 2014 to December 2014 (7 months) Greater Atlanta AreaSoftware Engineer @ Citi • Conceptual and design bug fixes in ATD’s proprietary equities trading infrastructure.• Environment: C++, Linux/Unix, command line, debugging tools etc.• Successfully fixed corporate action processing, resulting in acknowledgment of several previously missing reverse splits and spin offs when there are multiple corporate actions for a single symbol.• Fixed ATDF’s system to have the NYSE specialist quotes treated as regular, automated-bbo-eligible quotes instead of ineligible slow quotes, resulting in correct trading of BRK:A ticker symbol.• Added the ability to allow the data reader to read both A and B feeds simultaneously without duplicating data, hence adding reliability in the case that the main feed goes down, or if data is missed down one feed. From March 2013 to June 2014 (1 year 4 months) Charleston, South Carolina AreaECE Senior Design @ Georgia Tech Research Institute • Led a team of five for senior design, and successfully created application to autonomously track visitor cars inside a gated neighborhood community with a network of IP cameras.• Detected the moving visitor car using GMM based background subtraction model, morphological operations, and blob analysis.• Estimated motion of the car using Kalman filter. Used SURF feature points, velocity vectors, size and color cues to aid detection in motion tracking model.• Project resulted in an estimated savings of $80,000/year for the client with other additional benefits. From January 2012 to May 2012 (5 months) AtlantaResearch Assistant @ Laboratory of Computational Computer Vision • Researched literature for background modeling using Gaussians mixture model.• Created application to successfully identify and track small moving eccentric particles from a frame sequence of underwater images.• Produced and presented results to the industry client with Dr. Anthony Yezzi.
