I work on Experience Design for mobile at Evernote. I was the design lead on the Evernote for Android Material redesign improving the app for our users and being showcased by Google at 2015 I/O and Form conferences. I led design on Evernote for Android as well as Scannable for iOS and kickstarted the multi-platform Common Editor design project. From October 2014 to October 2015 (1 year 1 month) Lead Designer - Brand @ Following contract design projects, I became Evernote's first graphic design hire. I was responsible for all communication design to promote and build the brand. I developed and evolved the Evernote brand through a period of almost three years as the company transitioned from a small startup to a worldwide brand and from under 10 million users to 150 million users. I was responsible for building a team of designers focused on marketing communications. Pushing the Evernote brand forward through innovating, problem solving and thoughtful design, I created beautiful and engaging brand experiences. I created Brand Guidelines, interactive web style guides and set the design style for the company as well as leading day-to-day web and print design projects. We launched a brand in China and developed multiple sub brands. The Senior Designer role included management and development of the Evernote brand, generating concepts, overseeing production of new content, leading redesign projects, hiring and managing contract designers and web development teams, user interface design, partnership co-branding, large scale events, paid digital media, responsive web design projects and communicating the vision. I produced design for print, brand identity, web and app design, illustration, and UI design and motion graphics. It was also an opportunity to hire and work collaboratively with other designers and animators. I worked on a number of mobile applications from wireframes, testing through to production. I had the honour of working for clients such as: Sony Ericsson, Mars, BAE Systems, ARM, Pets at Home, Kaleidoscope, Serco, Wagamama and Evernote. I founded 'Title Collective', a select team of designers, illustrators and animators that worked collaboratively on self-initiated and client-led projects. From December 2008 to December 2011 (3 years 1 month) Art Director @ I headed up a team of designers and developers working on a number of consumer brands including Ginetta- the largest manufacturer of British race cars. I was responsible for rebranding the company and bringing the compelling story of this historic brand to a wider audience then they were ever capable of reaching in their previous state. This included the launch of multiple websites, a fashion brand launch as well as video projects for Autosport and Top Gear. I was also responsible for the rebrand of 5 companies in the Ginetta group from the manufacturing, technology and social care industries. I worked on all branding and all design output (web, print, advertising, social media, video content) for the group of with a very large annual marketing budget. While at Ginetta I assembled a team of three designers, a web development team as well as building out a roster of video production contractors. My contract was extended and I stayed on and ensured the team was strengthened for future growth. From June 2010 to February 2011 (9 months) Senior Designer @ I was brought into the New Black as a motion graphics designer to work on short films, documentaries, corporate and awareness video pieces. Early projects varied from documentaries through Europe and America (London, Dublin, Bucharest, New York) to motion graphics for live events (NEC, Birmingham).
